Tatkavaklı Package Drinking Water Treatment Plant will operate by being fed from 8 wells, 4 of which are existing and 4 of which are newly drilled.

1st stage catalytic filters are used to remove turbidity, arsenic and manganese values. 2nd stage catalytic filters are used to remove turbidity, arsenic and manganese leakages that may occur in 1st stage catalytic filters, and also to produce quality water in accordance with the Regulation on Water Intended for Human Consumption in case the parameters increase due to changes that may occur in the raw water characteristics in the future.

The filter minerals in the filter tanks consist of different layers of different densities and sizes. The minerals (grade gravel, graded sand, catalytic mineral, antacid) used in these layers are designed in such a way that they do not affect human health, are safe to use in drinking water treatment, and do not require replacement for at least 5 years.

Purified water is automatically chlorinated with liquid chlorine during the filling of the treated water tank. Thanks to chlorine, residual chlorine is left in the treated water and disinfection of the treated water is ensured.
